Tork Lift Camper Tie Down and Turnbuckle Recommendations for 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question:

My 2020 F-250 Super Duty Super cab with 6 3/4 bed and factory hitch should arrive to me in a month. Id like to get items ordered to set the new truck up on arrival with my slide-in truck camper an Outfitter Apex 8. This Fall/Winter Ill be doing short trips with camper but next summer we plan to spend 3 months traveling in the truck/camper to Alaska/Canada. I keep going back and forth in my mind whether the aluminum Talon would in the long road be worth the 30 price over the Tork Lift steel camper tie downs. Do you have thoughts here? Also planning on purchasing new turnbuckles but cant decide on Fast Gun or Springload. The springload are a step up from my old turnbuckles so not sure if the Fast Guns are worth added cost. Any recommendation on the turnbuckles? Thanks

I recommend the TorkLift Talon Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs - Aluminum - Front # TLF2022A and the TorkLift Talon Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs - Aluminum - Rear # TLF3008A. It is worth having the aluminum as it is more corrosion resistant than the powder coated steel especially over the long run with your traveling in the winter to snowy regions that use road salt.

As far as the turnbuckles go, the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs - Stainless Steel - Black - Qty 4 # TLS9529-2-LK are extremely easy to use and work very well while also giving you the ability to lock them into place to secure your investment. The TorkLift AnchorGuard Turnbuckles for Truck Camper Tie-Downs - Stainless Steel - Qty 4 # TLS9013 work well but do require more adjustment each time installed and do not have the locking feature. You will need to determine if that is important to you or not as either system will work very well.
