Older Axle Bearing Kit that Uses Bearings L44649 and L68149

I recently bought a set of older axles. Unfortunately there is not ID tag to be found on either of them. They are 89inch hub face and 6 lug so I assume they are 3500lb axlesnot sure. They are also blue which I doubt helps but who knows right. I broke one down and the bearings are L44649 and L68149. I want to make sure I get the right kit. The 6 lug is whats really throwing me off. I have seen them at 5200lb with 89inch hub face.

If the diameter of the spindle where the seal rides is 1.5 inch then the bearing kit part # BK2-100 is correct and you'd have what is most likely a 3,500 lb axle.

Though there can be some variations, the #GS-2250DL (10-36) seal would lead me to believe you have a 5,200 pound or 6,000 pound axle. Especially with a 6 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern on the hub. It would not hurt to pull one of said hubs off to verify your…

The Dexter D35 axle is a 3,500 lb trailer axle so for a bearing kit you would want the part #BK2-100 that you referenced.

It sounds like you are going to need the Timken Grease Seal #TMK36ZR. This has the 1.250" inner diameter with 1.983" outer diameter and the width is 0.406". You will want to verify this will fit your hub using a Caliper #PTW80157.
