Will the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank Stop Trailer Tongue Jack From Hitting Tailgate

Question:

I need to find a solution to what appears a very common problem. I have a 2016 Ford F150 with 61/2 foot box. I am pulling a 25 ft travel trailer, but cant leave the tailgate down because it will hit the jack. Trailer is a Sportsmaster with hitch weight of 660 lbs. and a dry weight of 4730 lbs. Is there a way for me to extend my hitch so it clears? I have a weight distribution hitch hope Im using the right terminology that has 2 sway arms that click into the hitch and then attach back to the front of the trailer. What product can I purchase? I saw a product on your site that I thought might do the trick, but want to be sure: EQ90-02-4600 Please help. I have spent a couple of years trying to find a solution.

Correct, the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank part # EQ90-02-4600 will work with pretty much any weight distribution system, not just Equal-i-zer and it should then allow you to tow with the tailgate down or simply drop the tailgate without hitting the tongue jack if needed. The reason for this is because the shank is much longer therefore giving more clearance between the truck and trailer.
