Best Trailer and Truck Backup Camera Combo On My 2006 Ford F-250

Question:

Hello, I’m interested in a back up camera for a 2006 Ford F-250 super duty truck. I would like it primarily to help hook up a trailer. It’s a basic trailer to carry an atv. It would also be nice if the back up camera could hook up to the back of the trailer so that’s why I was looking at this system. Would you recommend it? Id also like it To be water resistant. This is a gift for someone else so I’m not sure if I’m describing it exactly right but I think you’ll get what I mean.

I recommend getting a backup camera as it will save you a lot of time and hassle, I remember when I used to get in and out of my Tahoe 4-5 times just to get the ball lined up or make sure I'm clearing whatever obstacle is in my way when backing up. Having a backup camera will eliminate having to do that which is why I highly recommend it.

There are so many options to pick from and in my experience having a permanent mounted camera is more work than it could be. Especially for the longer vehicles and trailers, that's a lot of wiring you have to add and of course you'll have to splice into your existing wiring and I try to avoid that at all costs. So check out some of our wireless backup camera systems because you will not have to deal with any wiring and you can use it on any car or any trailer.

I have used both the Swift Hitch Digital Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor - Night Vision - Item # SH02Digital and the Rampage Wireless Backup Camera for Smartphone or Tablet - iOS or Android
Item # RA7710. Both of these systems are wireless and are super easy to use. The Swift Hitch will come with a monitor and the Rampage you can use your phone.

If I may give you my choice of the two, I think that the Swift Hitch Digital Wireless Hitch Alignment Camera and Monitor would be best because it is going to be waterproof and will hold up over time better than the rampage. Between the two, the Swift Hitch is the higher quality system.

Check out the videos I made using them to see which one you prefer!
