Height Adjustability of Curt E16 16516 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

Will the Curt 16516 sliding hitch work in a 2017 F-250 6 3/4 bed. I have the factory puck system with the square adapter that fits in the pucks. I have a Reese pro series 15K slider now that I can’t get the handle to move when I’m trying to get my camper to slide I have to put a big crescent wrench on it so I won’t bend the handle. My fifth wheel sits to high in the front with this hitch. It measures 17” from the truck bed to the top of the level plate of the hitch when it’s in it’s lowest available position . I tried to lower it to the lowest setting but the holes won’t line up so my question is will the Curt hitch work? Will it let me get at least an inch lower on the hitch so my fifth wheel will sit more level? Will my Reese adapter plate work with the Curt hitch. I thought about the Demco auto slide but didn’t really want to deal with the weight of the hitch when it’s time to remove it. I have been a customer for several years keep up the good work you guys are very helpful. Thanks.

The Curt # 16516 E16 5th wheel hitch with slider is height adjustable from 14-17 inches, which sounds perfect for your needs. If the adapter you speak of is the Reese # RP30156, then yes it will be compatible with the Curt # 16516.
