Towing Capacity of 2016 Ford Fusion and Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness Fit

I had a hitch mounted on my fusion and I’m wondering if it can withstand towing a sea doo how hard will it be on my fusion.

According to the Ford towing guide, your 2016 Ford Fusion can tow up to 1,000 lbs unless it has the 2.0L I4 EcoBoost, which would give it a 2,000 lb capacity, though I recommend verifying this with your local Ford dealer. To tow you will need a trailer hitch, wiring harness and ball mount, and the best parts for that on your '16 Fusion are:
- Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24897
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118574
- Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3594
- 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19256 or 2" Hitch Ball # 19258
