Can Swagman S24FR Bike Cover for RVs Be Used Behind a Van
Question:
Can the cover be used on the back of a van on Rocky Mounts swing away rack? Is the swing away feature still usable or does the bag over the tongue restrict movement of the rack? I have one mountain bike 75” long, 28” handlebars. Thanks.

The bike cover will fit over bikes up to 70 inches long and widths of up to 24 inches. The cover would be able to slip over the swing away portion, but it would not allow it to operate with the cover zipped up.
The Swagman # S24FR Bike Cover is only supposed to be used on an RV. The van might work if no part of the bikes extend past the sides of the van. The reason Swagman states that the cover should only be used on an RV is because over time, the cover will get shredded from the force of the wind hitting it when you're traveling at highway speeds. A van would provide the bikes and cover more protection from the wind, but not as much as an RV so because the cover would still be subjected to some buffeting from the wind. As a result, it'll have a reduced lifespan when compared to using it on an RV. I've linked you to a product demonstration video featuring the Swagman Bike Cover.
