Can I Adapt a Standard Companion SLider to use in an OEM Ford Prep Package
Question:
I have the BW Companion slider fifth wheel hitch in my 2018 Ram 2500 without OEM prep using the turnover ball installation. Can I use this same hitch in a 2019 F-350 that has the OEM fifth wheel prep? If not, can the base be exchanged for any credit toward the appropriate base?

I have a solution for your but it does involve a new base unfortunately. You van use the Replacement Slider Base for B&W OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVB3370 and your original head to create a full system for your truck.
If I may though, A complete system like the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package part # BWRVK3370 includes the head and is generally more cost effective. At this point you could sell your used Companion that you have now and greatly offset the cost of this. Check out the video I linked on it.
The companions are very popular and there is a very solid aftermarket desire for them. I would consider this route.
