Will Curt 2-1/2 Shank Work With Reese 2 Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have a Reese pro series friction sway round bar 2 inch weight distribution system 12,000/1,200 tongue rating. Can I purchase a curt shank 2 1/2 because I’ve upgraded to a bigger truck now with a 2 1/2 inch receiver from my old 2 inch smaller truck receiver. Will a 2 1/2 inch shank for into a 2 inch shank weight distribution block! Thanks! Just trying to be safer o use the reducer sleeve for now and don’t like the play it provides.

Yes, weight distribution shanks are pretty much universal so you can use can swap them out for one another across brands. The Curt Weight Distribution Shank part # C17131 is a great option which offers up to 3-1/4" of drop. I have attached a full list of options below with 2-1/2" shank.
