Parts Needed To Tow a Trailer with Brakes With a 2009 Honda Odyssey
Question:
I have a 2009 Honda Odyssey. I would like to purchase a popup. I have transmission and power steering cooling. I would like be able to tow the maximum I can, 3500 lbs. I plan on using 75270 hitch, c51180 brake controller, etbc7l 7 way I have a 4 pin now, curt c51180, and possibly FA92-00-0800 weight distribution. Three questions 1. does the curt works if my phone craps out? 2. is this the right or least expensive weight distribution for me? 3. Do I need anything else?

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75270, 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L, and Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 along with a 4-way like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56161 are all excellent options needed to tow a trailer with brakes. The only other thing I would add is the Curt No-Drill Bracket for 6-Way or 7-Way Round Trailer Connector Mounting Bracket part # C57202. In regards to the Curt Echo, the device will still work even if your phone dies, it would just use the last saved settings.
In regards to the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System part # FA92-00-0800 you made a fantastic choice but you could save money with the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution System part # HT32215 which already has the hitch ball torque down so it's ready to go.
