Is HydraStar Adapter Module Needed to Tow 2020 Keystone Montana with 2020 GMC Sierra 3500
Question:
I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 with intregrated trailer system. Trying to get a 2020 keystone montana fifth wheel to work with it but brake system message keeps coming up and the brakes do not work. Was recommended a hydrastar module after trying a titan adapter module that didnt help. Have you had good results from the Hydrastar module, got recommended by two dealers and GM bulletin. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

The HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Adapter Module # HBA-CAM is an excellent option when the OEM brake controller on a pickup isn't communicating with a HydraStar EOH (electric-over-hydraulic) system, but I find it interesting that it's being recommended for electric brakes.
I wasn't able to locate a tech bulletin about this but if GM dealers are recommending this and GM has a bulletin out about it then I would go with what they are saying.
