Safety Chain Solution for Trailers that Weigh 3,500 and 10,000 lbs
Question:
I am wondering what size chain and hooks i need for some of my trailers. some of your parts are listed by Gross trailer weight and others by working load limit. so it gets confusing. I have several trailers that are under 3500 lb trailers. and several that are over 10000 lbs. Chains have a burst rating and a WLL rating what rating do i use for safety chains? Hooks are rated by WLL and GTW what do I use?

For safety chains you want to go with a set that provides you with a break strength of at least what the trailer is rated for. Or you can go with a set that's priced great and easily over the capacity of both trailers like the Buyers Products chains part # 337BSC3835 which is rated for 15,000 lbs and would work great for both trailers.
