Why Would 7-Way Trailer Wiring Have Purple or Yellow Wire for Center Pin

What if you don’t have a purple cable but a yellow one, does it go in the center of my connector

There are two different ways that 7-ways get wired based on the color of the wires. (The function is the same). One of the differences is the reverse light circuit color which can be yellow or purple. Since you have yellow instead of purple it would run to the center. You have the RV standard style of connector like in the middle of the diagram I attached.
