Hello. I am purchasing a lightweight camper and want to have a tow hitch installed on my 2011 Jetta sportwagen TDI. I have seen that they are widely used for towing in Europe, but need more information on how to get a hitch installed here in CA. Please share any information regarding this. Also, if I order a product from you can I then take my car to a body shop for them to install it? The maker of the camper I am purchasing says I need a towing hitch with 7 pin braking adaptor and 2 inch ball hitch. Thank you in advance.

We do have the parts you need to add a trailer hitch and a 7-way for a brake controller on your 2011 VW Jetta SportWagen TDI. What you need are the following parts:

- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV # ETBC7
- Even BRK Trailer Brake Controller # TK63VR
- Brake Control Plug-In Harness # 20127
- Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593
- 2" Hitch Ball # 19258

All of these parts are going to be exactly what you need for your 2011 VW Jetta SportWagen, and yes, a body shop will easily be able to install each of these parts for you without any type of problem.
