USA Made 2 Inch Bike Rack to Carry Two Day 6 Electric Bikes
Question:
We are going to purchase 2 Day6 electric bikes. What bike rack would work for this type of bike? We will get a small and large frame size. The receiver is 2 inches . Send email picture of the model you recommend. Are these Hollywood bike racks made in the USA? Thank you

If you're looking for a USA made bike rack for a 2 inch receiver, the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack for Recumbents # SA4412B is what I recommend. It will accommodate two bikes of up to 60 lbs each, and works with up to a 57 inch wheelbase. From what I was able to find, Day 6 electric bikes (excluding their fat tire model) range between 51-55 lbs and feature a longer 52 inch wheelbase, so the Saris rack will work perfectly.
The cradles adjust independently along the upright masts allowing it to hold bikes of many shapes and sizes and perhaps one of its best features is that its shank provides an 8 inch rise, especially helpful when carrying heavy electric bikes, for added ground clearance. I've attached a couple photos but if you click on the product link below, you can see the # SA4412B in use and installed in many more photos.
Hollywood Racks bike racks, like the Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Rack # HLY74FR, are made in Taiwan, but the Sport Rider SE is another option that would easily accommodate your Day 6 bikes. Typically, Hollywood Racks are very popular among our customers because they are are able to deliver high quality at a mid range price. But because the Saris # SA4412B has all the features you need, comes in at a lower price, is made in the USA, and is also about 50% lighter than the SE2, that's the one I recommend for you.
