Is Air Compressor Required for Use With Firestone Coil-Rite Air Springs F4176

Question:

Do I need this for F4176 or is the air lift a closed system or modified easily to add air through a valve? Do I need the air compressor?

While it is not a requirement, I do highly recommend using the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge with Standard-Duty Compressor # F2158 with the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4176.

The reason for that is the compressor is going to make it much simpler to inflate and keep the pressure of the air springs where you need it. The reason is, the springs come with manual inflation valves (see accompanying photo) that you need to find a place to route and install underneath the vehicle, and getting to them can be a chore. The compressor will absolutely make it a much easier task with its control gauge.

The correct mounting kit for this compressor according to Firestone is the Firestone Universal Air Compressor Mounting Kit - Clamp On # F2497. I also recommend the Air Hose Cutter # AL10530 to ensure straight cuts during the installation of the springs, which is going to help you avoid leaks.

I have added links to the installation instructions as well as video reviews of the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4176 and Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge with Standard-Duty Compressor # F2158.
