Troubleshooting Wiring Where Only One Side of Boat Trailer Has Lights Working
Question:
The running lights and brake/turn light-signal work fine on the right/passenger side of my Boat trailer but none work on the left/Drivers side?

I recommend checking the ground connections on the wiring and lights. Most lights have a ground through the mounting hardware of the light, so I recommend making sure the ground is bare metal to metal and free of corrosion and debris. On a boat trailer it is likely there is a main ground on each side at the tail light mounting hardware. If you don't find sanding the metal at each ground and reconnecting it solves your issue then I recommend getting out a circuit tester like # PTW2992 and starting closest to your vehicle. Unplug your trailer and check each pin for function on the back of your vehicle. If functions don't all work at that location use sand paper to clean pins and then check fuses outlined in your owners manual.
If everything works, then you know it is the trailer and you will then start at the front of your trailer and work down the side that isn't working properly to see if there is a short, pinched wire, or connection issue texting as you go.
