Interested in the redarc elite brake controller. What wiring adapter do I need for 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup?

The correct install harness needed to install the Redarc Tow Pro part # RED44FR you mentioned in your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 is the part # 3020-S which plugs in under your dash and wires by color to the brake controller wiring.

Do I need to add a fuse between the factory plug and the brake controller?

Nope! The factory wiring will already be protected so there's no need to add a separate fuse. Just plug in the controller and you're good to go.
