Can SportRack Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack Be Installed on 2007 Fleetwood Bayside Without Drilling
Question:
Hi Carla, Thanks for your assistance with my question. I attached some photos of the rails on my pop up camper. To me, it looks like the rails on my camper would be compatible with installing this rack without drilling holes (based on the image in your last reply). However, in the pictures of parts included with the rack, I don’t see the small metal square plates with a hole in the middle that would slide into the rails on the camper roof, nor the smaller screws with lock washers that are in the image for non-drilling installation. Can you confirm that these parts are included and that they would be compatible with the rails on my camper?

The SportRack Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack # SR1020 will fit your 2007 Fleetwood Bayside pop-up camper with 78 inch wide rails on the roof. And while there is a way to install this roof rack without drilling, it requires your camper roof to have tracks with a built-in channel, where a channel nut could install and provide the attachment for the rack, as shown in the attached photo.
If your Bayside camper has standard rails, you will need to drill eight 1/8 inch holes to install this roof rack. You'll want to pick up some sealant like # # 0160297 to create a waterproof seal around the holes.
I've attached a link to the complete installation instructions for you at the bottom of the page as well.
