Replacement Part for Supplemental Braking System and Tow Bar Wiring for 2019 Ford Ranger

Question:

Hello 2019 Ranger. Ordering base plate, wiring , demco 6271 second car kit from you. Looking at the Expedition AFO install assume the ranger will be similar I will need a 5/8 x 3/8 x 5/8 tee. Do you have a part number for ordering that? Also for tail light wiring I see 2 options: TR11821 or RM-154. What do you recommend? vehicle will have 6 wire plug. thanks

Were you meaning a 5/8 X 1/4 X 5/8 inch tee? That is the size originally included with the # SM99243 Air Force One Supplemental Braking System. If so, that part number is # DM96FR.

As far as the taillight wiring system goes, I'd prefer the Roadmaster # RM-154 or even the # RM-15267. Roadmaster's core business is flat towing, rather than a tiny fraction of the business Horizon Global (owners of Tow Ready) does. The # RM-15267 uses the same diodes as the # RM-154, but provides an umbilical that has extra circuits available in case your supplemental braking system needs a circuit for a monitor to show when the brakes in the towed vehicle are applied or you need a charge circuit to keep the battery on the tow vehicle maintained.

I've linked to some installation videos that you might find helpful..
