How do you weld this to the trailer when the spring loaded pin extends through the steel mounting part? Do you weld it on and then drill out the holes?

In order to install the Curt Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack part # C28304 you will take a set of snap-ring pliers and remove the snap ring which will allow you to separate the mounting bracket from the jack. The mounting bracket will then get welded to the trailer frame. Once done, you can reinstall the jack to the trailer mounting bracket by putting the snap ring back on.
