Can PVC Be Added To Install the 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent On a Thicker Wall

Question:

Im venting a fridge and considering this vent used in one of two ways...may connect a 3inch flex pipe to the outside by not using the inside cover but connecting the vent hose onto the stub facing inward of the outside piece. What is the outside diameter of the stub facing in please? OR I may just use it like it is meant to be used in the RV but not sure if the device as sold will make it through the wall. I dont know the thickness of the wall off hand but can measure it once you tell me the max thickness thei unit will acomodate. if needed can I find a part to make it thicker like aluminum bathroom fan vent or PVC pipe? I really need the outside and inside diameter of the parts. I love etrailer! I have bought lots of stuff here and always treated well.

In regards to the 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent part # WHMAV2-WAVT2, I must recommend you install the vent using both the inside and outside components. If the wall thickness is too much to use the vent as is, all you will need to do is take a piece of PVC to bridge the two together. I have attached for you below a review on a customer who did the same.

I checked with Redline and they don't offer the specific measurements you are looking for unfortunately.
