What is the Difference Between the Curt Hitches Available for 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
What’s the difference between the Curt 13065 hitch for a Grand Cherokee and all the other brands that look the same but are much cheaper in price?

The main difference between the Curt # C13065 and the Curt # C13182, which is also a confirmed fit on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, is the shape of the cross-tube. The Curt # C13065 has a square cross-tube, where the # C13182 has a round crosstube; which just creates a little different look on the back but no real functional difference. If you're not going to be using a weight distribution hitch, you're likely best served going with the # C13182 since it would allow you to maximize the available towing capacity on your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
For reference, the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a towing capacity of between 3500-lbs and 7200-lbs, so you'll want to refer to your owner's manual with your specific trim package to determine the actual capacity of your vehicle. When it comes to towing, you're always going to be limited to the lowest rated component in your towing setup. If your Grand Cherokee has less than the 6000-lbs towing capacity of the # C13182, you're going to be limited to that number when towing, so you can go with whichever one you like the look of better.
If you're going to be towing and don't have the tow package on your vehicle you'll want to use the Tekonsha # 118727, which will easily install by plugging into the tail lights on your Jeep and provide you with a 4 way trailer connector to connect a trailer to. You'll also need a ball mount and hitch ball; I recommend using the etrailer Ball Mount kit # 989900 since it comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 hitch balls (1-7/8" and 2"), hitch pin and clip and will allow you the flexibility to tow with a variety of different trailer setups.
I've also linked some installation and informational videos to this answer that you may find helpful.
