RV Trailer Hitch Receiver With 500 lb Tongue Weight Capacity

Question:

I am looking for a mount that will let me carry 500 lbs on a motorcycle carrier. I know the E-100 has a 350 lb tongue weight. This weight is still within my GVWR for the camper, and in the tow capacity for my truck. I also understand it will decrease my tongue weight on the vehicle, and my calculation says I will still have enough tongue weight. I am just looking for a heavier rated hitch.

There are RV trailer hitch receivers with a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs, though no bumper-mounted hitches like the # E-100 you mentioned.

Instead, you will need a frame-mounted hitch, the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # C13704.

This hitch will work so long as your RV has a frame width (inside-to-inside) of between 22" and 66", and has a box frame, C-channel frame, or I-beam frame. You will also need to ensure via the trailer manufacturer that your camper is rated to carry 500 lbs on a hitch. With the use of an accessory like a motorcycle carrier, this hitch will also require the use of Stabilizing Straps # 18050.

I have added a link to a video review as well as the installation instructions for you to check out.
