I need to mount the spare for our 5th wheel trailer. It is large an heavy, size 235/80R16. Havent weighed it but must be over 50 lbs. Will this rack handle the weight and the bouncing around at the back of the trailer?

First, you will need to make sure your 5th wheel trailer has a 4 inch continuous welded steel square bumper that is rated for carrying weight. The tire and wheel combo (235/80-16) probably weights closer to 75 pounds. The carrier, # TR-1, can handle the weight and bouncing but the key factor is having the correct bumper that is rated for the combined weight of the tire, wheel, and carrier.
