Recommended Cargo Box to Use With Rola Roof Rack on 2016 Mazda CX-5
Question:
Hi there Im interested in this to use with a cargo box. I have a 2016 mazda cx5. I downloaded the installation instructions and it says bars to be set at 27.5inch center to center. The mounting points on the karrite box is 22.5. I like the price of this compared to the others. Do you have a solution thanks.

I have a solution for you, but all of the roof racks available (like the Rola 59767) for your 2016 Mazda CX-5 require at minimum 27.5" center on center between the crossbars. For this reason, unless the mounting points on your cargo box can be relocated, you won't be able to use it on your vehicle.
The best solution in this case is going to be also getting a new cargo carrier like the Malone # MPG901 which will provide 12 cu/ft of storage and works on crossbars between 24" and 28" apart. This Malone box comes with locks for added security and the low profile on the box will help reduce wind noise.
