Using Hopkins Tow Bar Wiring on 2011 Jeep Wrangler That Needs Charge Wire From RV

Im looking to setup my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for flat tow. Im thinking of installing a Brake Buddy or similar braking system that requires 12v power. Id like to avoid splicing into the factory wiring if possible so I was looking at using the Hopkins HM56200 with the Mighty Cord A10-6034VP instead of the Roadmaster RM-15267. I have a 7 way already on my RV so I was planning to do a 7 way to 6 way to either use the 12v power to power the braking system or the battery of the Wrangler which in turn would power the braking system. However I understand that I cant use the Hopkins HM56200 and power from the battery for the brake system because of the brake lights. Is there any sort of combination of plug and play that will work for this setup? Is it possible for me to run the 12v power from the 6 way receiver to power the brake system? Thanks!

You can use the Hopkins tow bar light kit part # HM56200 on your 2011 Jeep Wrangler as it's a confirmed fit, but the 4-way ends of this and the # A10-6034VP don't match as they are both male 4-ways. So what you could do is cut off the 4-way of either side and install the # HM48190 in place of it and you'd be able to make the connectors as needed.

For a coiled extension to adapt the 7-way or your RV to the 6-way of the adapter you'd then want the # RM-1676-7 which will carry the charge wire like you are needing. The charge wire would not interfere with the Hopkins wiring either since it would be carried on a separate circuit.
