Brake Controller Port Location for Tekonsha Prodigy P3 On a 2020 Ram 1500

Question:

After reading QandA on your website I settled on using the Prodigy3 with the 3024-P harness for my 2020 Ram 1500. I have looked at your site and the 2019 dash is different than the 2020. The picture you showed of the 2019 allows access to the area to reach the factory plug. The 2020 is closed of at the bottom of this area with a storage bin. I know Dodge is calling the 2020 redesigned does anyone know where the factory connector is located on the 2020 Ram 1500?

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3024-P is indeed a good choice for a 2020 Ram 1500. In regards to installation, the plug is located behind the center dash console near the gear selector where the factory brake controller would have been installed if equipped. The attached photo shows a general location but as noted, there are different dash configurations for the vehicle so exact panels/compartments can vary by model. That said, the attached photo of a 2019 is on the new generation so the same will apply to the 2020 but as stated there are different dash configurations.

Do anybody PLEASE know where is the factory brake controller port FUSE for the 2019 1500? Last year I installed the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller using their harness and it was working perfectly fine but the past weekend I noticed the brake controller was not powering on and of course no brakes on the trailer. Today, Iv'e been checking all kind of fuses first, including every single one the owners manual refers as "towing" and no luck. I tested the brake controller directly to power and powers on normally, so is not the break controller. I went under the dash where the factory brake controller port is located and everything looks normal. I have tested and I get 12v from the red cable when I press the brake pedal (good) and i checked ground continuity from the harness to the chassis and ground is fine, the only that is NOT showing power is the positive cable (thick white with a red trip) that comes from the factory controller port to the Prodigy harness, so, it got to be a FUSE because i really doubt a positive cable just got unplugged from wherever is coming (I cant reach farther in the dash) Unfortunately an extensive internet search is not giving me any "Brake Controller Port FUSE" I hate so much go to the dealer that I even prefer to run a positive cable from the battery if I cant get this sorted out but I will prefer leave the clean installation and figure this out. I will appreciate any help.

On your Silverado check the fuse located in the # 84 position inside the main fuse box under the hood. Based on my research this fuse is tied to power that goes to the factory brake controller port.
