Question:
I have a four winds e450 5000 that the brake system was heavy enough to stop with the weight of the 2011 chevy hhr that I would not need a brake system for the hhr and this is only laws in canada. is this true ?

Expert Reply:
Most states and Canadian provinces now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being towed by law. There is a good chance that where you will be traveling to or traveling through, a braking system will be required.
The easiest system to set up and use is the Roadmaster Even Brake, # RM-9400. You will also need a stop light switch # RM-751428 and a 12 volt outlet kit # RM-9332 to use this braking system on a 2011 Chevy HHR.
I have included a link to all of our FAQ articles on flat towing for you.
