Will Swagman XTC4 #S64650 Bike Rack Work With Spare Tire On A 2010 Jeep Wrangler

Hi, Was wondering if you had any write-ups or videos on a 2010 wrangler using this rack? My main question is if the rear swinging hatch door can clear the rack with no bikes on it and no spare tire mounted. Thank you!

Expert Reply:
I did contact Swagman on your behalf. They recommended referring to the below dimension versus the length of your Wrangler rear swinging door to determine clearance while mounted, folded down without bikes or the spare tire.
-The clearance from the receiver bar hole to the first wheel hoop is 11.5"
Due to the rise in the shank of the Swagman XTC4 4-Bike Rack for 2" Hitches # S64665, the ability to tilt the rack down would be essential for clearance and this does not provide that. A solution like the Curt 4 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes # C18087-FB would be better.
