Recommended 4-Bike Platform Rack for 3.8 Wide Tires
Question:
The specs say “27.5 semi-fat” as the capacity but what is their definition of this? For reference, my bike is 27.5vwith 3.8 inch width. Is this fat, semi-fat, morbidly obese? Love the Inno and am ready to pounce but if it wont carry my bike, I’m gonna be in sales return snafu. Thank you for you time and insight.

I do have a solution for you, however the Inno Tire Hold 4 Bike Platform Rack # INH142 will only work with tires that are up to 3" wide, so it's not going to be a good fit for the 3.8" wide tires on your bike. There isn't an Inno 4-bike platform-style rack available that is compatible with your fat bike tires.
For a great alternative that will work perfectly, I highly recommend the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH69TX, which works with tire widths of up to 5" and can hold 4 bikes that weigh up to 160 pounds total. It features a convenient lever that lets you tilt the carrier back for rear cargo access on the vehicle and a hitch lock to reduce movement at the connection point, and locks for yourr bikes to help deter theft. I also really like this rack's ability to break down into a smaller 2-bike carrier if you ever hit the trails with just a portion of your party.
I have attached a short video demonstration below that you can also check out.
