Do the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Provide Any Lift

Question:

When the truck is empty I assume if the airbags are at the minimum 8psi there is no lift. How many inches of lift will the rear end of the truck have if the bags are at 100psi.

To answer your question, none. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2430 are not designed to provide a lift to your truck, regardless of the air pressure. If you were to fill the bags completely with an unloaded truck, the only thing that would happen is that your ride quality would become noticeably more stiff.

The Firestone Ride-Rite system is designed to push the truck's back end up so that it rides level when loaded and helps create safer driving and towing conditions. Since this system sits between the axle and frame, it is only designed to engage when there is weight on the rear axle and the bags don't get bigger/taller; it does not actually provide any lift like you would get with an actual suspension lift.

These are a great solution to help keep your truck level when towing or hauling loads, but filling them completely with an unloaded truck is going to create a stiff rear end suspension.
