Will Firestone Air Bag Kit # F2430 Help Rough Ride in 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 High Country
Question:
Hello Mike, As indicated, I just purchased the new 2014 Silverado High Country with the knowledge that the ride can be punishing. It is on many of our concrete paved roadways here in Southern California. I am looking for a smoother, better ride. Question. Will the Firestone F2430 fill the need and is the work reversible, for example if I decide to sell in the future and the new owner may want the original factory configuration. I am not interested in hauling heavy loads, say over 500 Lbs. Would appreciate your help as I have heard pros and cons respects using the air bags. Many thanks.

Among the features of your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 High Country are the heavy-duty suspension and 20-inch wheels. A less-than-comfy ride in this vehicle, especially when the stiffer suspension is not loaded down with weight in the bed, is sort of the nature of the beast.
Air bag kits are designed primarily for load support, to assist a suspension that is in good working order when it is heavily loaded with cargo weight (but not so much for use when towing trailers, with certain exceptions, of course).
An air bag suspension enhancement kit will not really do much for the routine ride quality of your unloaded or lightly-loaded suspension when driven on paved roads. For this issue you will likely be better served by softer aftermarket shocks. We do not offer shocks here but given the popularity of your truck you should have many options.
For reference I have linked you to an article on Firestone kits as well as to our main page for accessories for your truck.
