Can Fascia Door of 2011 GMC Terrain Be Reinstalled Once Hitch is Installed
Question:
I have a 2012 gmc Terrain. I need a class III hitch and would like to know if model #13591 curtis hitch and the model #e98865 etrailer are a visible as each other? I would also like to know if I can replace the center fascia of the bumper to cover the hitch when not towing? Looking forward to your response.

Expert Reply:
All of the Class III receivers available for your 2012 Terrain are similar in the way they would sit in relation to the rear bumper of the vehicle. The Curt # 13591 and the etrailer # e98865 are basically the same hitch, they have the same capacites and look the same. The primary difference between the Curt # 13591 and the etrailer # e98865 is the finish. The etrailer model has a Matte black finish, while the finish on the Curt hitch has a shinier finish. This is really a matter of preference. There is also a slight price difference.
In addition to the hitch, you might also need the following:
Trailer wiring harness, part # 118494 or # 118264 if your Terrain is equipped with the tow package
Ball mount, part # D-4
1-7/8 inch trailer ball, part # 19260
2 inch trailer ball, part # 19247
Hitch pin and clip, part # PC3
Locking hitch pin, part # e98882
I have linked you to some installation details and install videos that you might find helpful.
