Trailer Hitch and Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation of 2018 Kia Sorento
Question:
I need a trailer hitch and a wiring hook up to do some light towing on my 2018 Kia Sorento. What will I need?

I'd recommend the etrailer brand Class III hitch, part # e98843, as it's high quality yet affordably priced. The only possible disadvantage I'd give this particular hitch is that the crossbar is visible from the rear. Some trailer hitches are pretty nicely concealed behind the vehicle bumper, but this isn't one of them. If you are't fond of the appearance of the majority of the hitch being visible from the rear, then the EcoHitch # 306-X7320 would be recommended as the entire hitch assembly with the exception of the receiver tube and the safety chain loops will be hidden behind the rear bumper. You can see the differences in the appearance of the two by taking a look at the photo I've edited for you. As you can see, the EcoHitch looks a lot cleaner once installed.
For a wiring harness that would provide a 4 pole trailer connector which will cover basic trailer lighting functions (brake lamps, turn signals and running lamps), go with # C56332 for vehicles with the factory tow package or # 118583 for vehicles without the tow package. For a kit that includes ball mounts, trailer balls and hitch pins, use # 989900.
