Parts Recommendation to Dinghy Tow 2020 Chevrolet Colorado Behind a Motorhome

What would I need to dingy tow a 2020 Chevy Colorado with my motorhome. There's so may choices it's staggering!

Don't stagger, you've got this!
To flat tow your 2020 Colorado behind your motorhome, you'll need a tow bar, base plates, safety cables, a wiring solution so the dinghy's taillights work along with those of the motorhome, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter.
For a tow bar, I really like the Falcon All-Terrain, part # RM-522. The non binding design allows you to release the arms of the tow bar from the vehicle regardless of how level the ground is. The arms are also self-aligning which means you don't need to be perfectly lined up behind the motorhome when you're attaching the tow bar. Get it hooked up and drive off. The arms will extend to where they need to be and automatically lock in place. For safety cables, use # RM-643. The cables are coiled, which will help prevent them from dragging.
For a base plate, go with the Roadmaster # RM-523182-5. These base plates fit 2WD and 4WD models, Diesel and Z71 with Off Road Package are a fit. No Adaptive Cruise Control, Z71 Trail Boss or ZR2 Bison. This is a direct connect base plate that connects right to the tow bar without the need for a crossbar for a cleaner and quicker hook up/disconnect.
For wiring, I like the # RM-15267 from Roadmaster. This option splices into the taillight circuits of the truck, but once installed it's super easy to use. Plug in the umbilical joining the motorhome and dinghy, and you're done. To flat tow the vehicle, the battery needs to be disconnected. An auto/quick disconnect # RM-766 is available, but it's not compatible with Diesel models or those equipped with 2 batteries.
For a braking system, the best option will depend on how long you're planning on keeping the vehicle. If you plan on keeping the vehicle for a number of years, a permanently installed system like the Roadmaster Invisibrake, part # RM-8700. You'll also need a stop light switch kit, part # RM-751472.
When the base plate kit I recommended is installed on a Colorado with stock ride height on stock tires, the base plates will sit about 14-3/4 inches above the ground. For safety, your tow bar needs to be within 3 inches +/- of level when installed. If you're outside that range, you'll need a high/low adapter to level it.
