Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2015 Chevy Equinox Towing 3,200 lb Trailer

Question:

I do have one other question regarding the Reese Weight Distribution System w Shank - Round Bar - 10,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW, Item # RP65509 recommended Jameson C. If I buy a trailer in the future that has a tongue weight that is more than 600 lbs, can the spring bars be upgraded to support a higher tongue weight above 600 lbs.

I have a really great solution for you, but the tongue weight range of the Curt system you mentioned is too small for your trailer with most likely a 320 lb tongue weight. Ideally you pick a system where the loaded tongue weight of your trailer falls right into the middle of the range. So for a similar system that would work well we have the part # RP65509 which has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs. The Curt only has a 500-600 lb tongue weight range.

This will work great with your 2015 Chevy Equinox and with a truck you may buy in the future.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.

Yes, you could replace just the spring bars with the part # RP58114 and the tongue weight range would be increased to 400-800 lbs.
