Best Weight Distribution System for a Keystone Springdale 179RD
Question:
I have a Keystone Springdale 179RD It has a dry weight of 3870 and a tongue weight of 420. Im looking at a Curt #C17050. I will be towing it with a 2022 Honda Ridgeline. Will this work for me. Also do I need sway control and can I add it later if I do? Thank you.

II took a look at the weight capacity for your Honda Ridgeline and the loaded weight of your Keystone Springdale 179RD trailer. The dry weight is your trailer empty with no cargo inside whatsoever. Your trailer will be heavier once you get it loaded up. The Curt MV Weight Distribution System item # C17050 has a tongue weight range of 500 lbs - 600 lbs and will work great for your trailer but you will be limited by your Honda's 5,000 lbs maximum towing capacity.
If you choose to add sway control later you will want the Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems item # 17200.
You will also want to confirm your towing and tongue weight capacity by referencing your owners manual or calling your dealership and giving them your VIN. Adding a weight distribution system will not increase your Ridgeline's towing capacity.
