Is There a Plug-In Harness for the Brake Buddy Stealth Braking System On a 2017 Ford F-53 Chassis
Question:
In the instructions to wire the controller it says to run the blue wire to the 7 pin connector on the motorhome. Is there a plug and play adaptor to plug into the front of my 2017 F-53 chassis like a lot of pick up trucks have to operate this controller or does the blue wire have to be routed to the back?

Expert Reply:
Yes, there is a plug under the dash on a 2017 Ford F-53 Chassis. Therefore, if you are using the Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System part # HM39530 you can get the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Wiring Adapter part # HM47715 for a plug and play installation on the tow vehicle side that is.
Please keep in mind, the brake controller that comes with the Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System has blunt cut wires so you would have to install the Universal Wiring Adapter for Hopkins Trailer Brake Controllers part # HM47685 first or just cut off both ends on the brake controller and vehicle specific adapter and wire the two together directly.
