Your best and most cost-effective bike carrying solution would be to use a Yakima SpareRide 2 Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack, part # Y02599 or the Thule Spare Me, part # TH963PRO. Both of these racks can carry two bikes, include a cable lock to secure the bikes to the rack and are capable of being mounted offset on the tire so that the bikes are centered on the rear of the vehicle.

Due to the spare tire mounted on the rear of your 2006 Honda CR-V, a trunk mounted bike rack like the Thule Gateway would not be compatible with your vehicle.

For womens bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # Y02531 is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.

I have provided links to some product demonstration videos that feature the racks I recommended.
