Best Vehicle to Flat Tow, and Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2020 Jeep Wrangler with Factory Bumper

Can you tell me what the best vehicle to tow behind my 2007 Fleetwood Terra LX motorhome with a GTW of 5000 lbs or less?

The vehicle you will see flat towed as much as any, is within your 5,000 lb limit, and has easily accessible parts is a Jeep Wrangler with a standard factory plastic or steel bumper. To flat tow any vehicle, including a Wrangler, you'll need a number of different parts, which I'll list for you here:
- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5
- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-576
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Supplemental Braking System: SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251
- Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490
The Roadmaster Base Plates will give your Jeep a clean look, with brackets hidden from view; I have added a link to a video showing these being installed on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler for you. The Sterling tow bar is the best option because it has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing, along with integrated safety cables so you won't need to purchase those separately.
I really like the Flexo-Coil wiring kit because it is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback, keeping the Jeep's electrical system safe. As for the braking system, the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. This results in much smoother braking than most systems which send out a pre-set amount of braking power, which is far more rigid, With smoother braking comes a smoother, more comfortable and easier-to-control ride when flat towing.
