Does the Hands Free Lift Gate Still Work On a 2019 Chevy Traverse Premier with Curt Trailer Hitch
Question:
The Premier version has the feature where you can wave your foot under the bumper and it opens the tailgate. Does the model of hitch that mounts under the car the one without taking the rear fascia off interfere with that feature? It is on the driver side near the exhaust on that side.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13380 which is a fit for a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse Premier and does not require removal of the rear bumper will still allow for use of the hands free life gate feature. In order to use the hands free life gate feature you simply need to place your foot on either side of the receiver tube opening. There are some vehicle/hitch combos that pose more issues for the hands free life gate feature than others but this is not one of them and will still work just fine.
If you will be using the vehicle for towing, you would also need a trailer wiring harness like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56394 if you need a 4-way or part # C56393 if you need a 7-way (trailer brakes) which are both plug and play. If the trailer does have brakes you will also need a brake controller, the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 is what I recommend.
