Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2020 Jayco 264BH

Question:

Hello, what do you recommend for sway /weight distribution on a 2020 Jayco 264BH towed with a 18 Ram 2500 crew with CTD?

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

I looked up the GVWR of your 2020 Jayco 264BH and at most it would weigh 6,000 lbs so for a weight distribution system the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET would be a really great option. It has a tongue weight of between 600 and 1,000 lbs which would work great for the weight of your 2020 Jayco 264BH. Typically the tongue weight of a trailer is between 10 and 15 percent of the total trailer weight so you'd most likely have a little over 600 lbs of tongue weight not counting cargo weight so the # EQ37100ET would work great.

This also features a really great 4 point sway control system that does a really great job reducing and stopping sway.
