What Size Axle Will the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension Work On?

Question:

I purchased a set of axle less suspension kit for an existing axle. I don’t know what’s the diameter of my harbor freight axle. Will the TSR2000S03 2 3/8” diameter u bolts fit my Harbor Freight trailer axle? Thank you.

The Timbren Axle-Less Suspension # TSR2000S03 works with 2-3/8" diameter axles, so you'll need to measure the diameter of the axle on your Harbor Freight trailer using a digital caliper like the # PTW80157 to determine if it will work with your existing axle. Unfortunately we don't have a way to know what the size of the axle on your trailer is, so you will have to measure this, or check the axle tube for any identifying plate that would have the axle size/capacity on it.

If you find out that you have a different sized axle, you won't be able to use the # TSR2000S03 and I would instead recommend looking at switching to something like the Timbren # ASR2000S02 which is an axle and suspension system rolled into one. This will give you a top of the line suspension kit and a trailer with much better ground clearance, since there is no axle to worry about. You'll need a hub and drum assembly for this system like the etrailer Trailer Hub and Drum # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K which has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.
