Difference Between Galvanized Steel and Steel 2-3/4 Inch Shackle Strap

There are 2 shackle pieces that will fitt my need. One is steel and the other is galvanized steel. The plain steel one less expensive than the galvanized. Are the galvanized one stronger? wear better?

The galvanized steel shackle strap # CE14103G is best suited for marine applications like boat trailers, due to the rust inhibiting properties provided by the galvanized coating.

The plain steel shackle strap is better suited for non-marine usage. It could be used in a marine application, but it would be more susceptible to corrosion.

You can use wet bolts with nylon bushings or bronze bushings. It does not matter which material the bushings are. Also nylon and bronze bushings have about the same longevity.
