You should be able to get the nylon bushings out fairly easily. In the worst case scenario, you can use an old 5/8 inch bolt or piece of round bar stock and punch the bushing out. The bronze bushings can be pounded in with a mallet or a hammer. If you're using a hammer, be sure to use a block of wood between the bushing and hammer so you don't damage the bushing.
I spoke with my Redline representative, who wasn't able to provide a lifespan figure for a leaf spring bushing. The fact that you're using wet suspension bolts will quiet your suspension, and will ensure you get maximum life out of the bushings.

I have a 2000lb double eye spring with 1/2” bushings. Is it acceptable to drill them to 9/16” to accept the 9/16 hardware my trailer uses?
