Fat Bike Rack Recommendation for 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon with Factory Roof Rack
Question:
I'd like to get your recommendation on a bike rack to go on the factory roof rack on my 2020 Outback Wagon. I have 2 fat bikes, 4" and 5" wide tires.

The bike rack I recommend for your 2020 Subaru Outback with factory roof rack is the Thule UpRide for Fat Bikes # TH599000-FB. This bike rack can accommodate a single bike with up to 5 inch wide tires, so it will work great with either of your fat bikes, as long as they also meet the following specs:
Maximum weight capacity: 44 lbs
Maximum wheelbase: 48 inches
Wheel diameter: 20 - 29 inches
What I really like about this rack is that it has two arms that grab the front tire, as opposed to just a single one, so it provides superior security and stability for your bike. As you can see in the attached photo, there is absolutely no frame contact, so you don't have to worry about scratching your bike frames. The arm can be reversed so that you can load the bike from the opposite side. Making it much easier to load one bike on the passenger side and one on the driver side instead of both from one side.
You can also add the Thule One-Key System # TH450200, to lock your bike rack to your roof, for extra security. If you're planning on getting two bike racks, you'll want to use part # TH450400, instead, to make sure they are keyed alike.
