I know I have something of a big ask here, but if you don't give it a shot you'll never know I guess. So here goes! I have a 2019 Ford F-150 and I am looking for a ladder rack. Here's the rub though, I would like something sturdy enoguh to carry a pretty big weight, but not pricey - as inexpensive as possible. I fully realize that may be hard but I'm open to options? at least 500 lbs of weight.

I'm glad you asked because we absolutely have really good options for ladder racks that are both economical, can carry a lot of weight and fit your 2019 Ford F-150 - no matter what bed size it is. There are two options that stand above the rest, and both will be perfect for your needs, you can just get the one with the color you are looking for - either black or silver.

The Buyers Products rack is black, and the Erickson rack is silver, but apart from that, both are budget-friendly racks but are also high-quality, with 800 lb capacities and durable aluminum construction. They also both fit a 2019 Ford F-150 with a 5-1/2 foot, 6-1/2 foot or 8 foot bed. They are also simple to install by clamping onto the sides of your F-150's bed rails.

Each of these racks comes with load stops to help you secure your cargo, which also saves you an extra expense of needing to purchase those separately. The Buyers Products rack does have a longer crossbar space, measuring 76 inches long, while the Erickson rack has bars which are 66-5/8 inches long, which is something you want to consider depending on the type of gear you are going to be carrying as you may need that extra width.
