Comparing Timbren and SumoSprings Suspension Enhancement for 2017 Ford F-250

Question:

So Im looking at Jounce-Style Springs such as the Timbren TFR250SDJ to help with load leveling when Im towing a 5th wheel with my F250. Ive gone through many of the Q and A and videos and trying to read reviews etc but its a bit overwhelming. Im not sure the real difference between the Timbren, the Firestone and the myriad of other springs and which, if any, are better. Are they all basically the same but different? Looking for a little assistance to make a good choice as I want this to be a one time purchase and install and to forget its there forever and ever. Thanks.

All of the jounce style suspension enhancement kits we offer work in the same way as they basically give the rear suspension additional support as the suspension gets compressed. The Timbrens like the part # TFR250SDJ that you referenced are the most popular option that we sell a lot. They are easy to install, lower priced, and provide really great support. They do have a tendency to make the ride a bit harsh when the vehicle is unloaded which is their biggest drawback. The other jounce option we have for your truck is the SumoSprings # SSR-127-54 which is not as harsh but doesn't offer quite as much suspension support.

So here's how I would choose which kit you'd want...I'd go with the Timbren if you plan to tow/haul heavy more often than not as you'll get the most out of the higher support or the SumoSprings kit if you won't be towing/hauling heavy as often. Or, if you value the unloaded ride quality highly.

Currently these two brands are only jounce style kits that fit your truck.
