Can SeaSucker Talon Roof Bike Rack Be Used on Panoramic Roof for Long Trips
Question:
I own a BMW X3 SUV. I want to mount it on the roof on our yearly trip to Florida. Its about 1200 miles. Also I plan to buy a BMW X2 next year. Will it also fit that. My X3 has a panoramic moonroof so I will be attaching the suction cups to it. Thank you

The SeaSucker Talon Roof Bike Rack # 298-BT1004 that you referenced will work perfectly on your BMW X3 that features the panoramic roof as well as your future BMW X2. The manufacturer was actually in our building not too long ago and they specifically addressed this concern, ensuring us that panoramic roofs aren't an issue at all and they actually prefer this style simply because the versatility of their racks means it's one of the only roof rack options that DO work with this roof style.
Using the rack for long trips also isn't a concern. The vacuum cups are absolutely made to last and they won't come loose during trips across the country. On longer road trips a lot of customers might just check the cups when they stop for gas and give the plunger an extra pump if needed just for their own peace of mind.
I have attached a short video demonstration that you can check out as well (which actually shows the rack being used on a glass roof).
